99 528it bmw of great value

Rare 1999 528iT Wagon: VIN #WBADP634XXBV62837 I have owned this car for 2 years (2nd owner). It has been very well cared for and maintained. This wagon is very practical while being VERY performance oriented at the same time. The car handles very well while still maintaining a nice ride quality.
The 2.8 liter V6 has plenty of power with 193hp. This baby has gobs of low end power and acceleration! The car has dynamic stability control (DSC) and all season traction control (AST) to allow safe use in bad weather.
The car is loaded with everything: premium sound system with 10 speakers and digital sound processing (DSP), heated seats, 6 disc CD changer, split fold down rear seats, leather interior, 16" alloy wheels, front & side and head airbags, all season traction and dynamic stability control, 4 wheel ventilated anti-lock brakes, remote keyless entry with security system, power seat adjustments, power windows, adjustable steering wheel with hand controls for cruise, stereo volume and telephone , sunroof. And these items work!
Motivated seller-$9,000 OBO. Current mileage is 109K Maintenance: -full synthetic oil and filter change every 3k miles -air conditioner filters replaced -replaced AC aux. fan-replaced fan clutch-new brake pads-new radiator, and water pump.

BMW summary

I found the last 3 posts either in the club site www.bmwcca.org or www.roadfly.org

I like the age and look of the car as well as the maintenance if them. One even had oil changes done every 5k with synthetic oil. The usual was present as well, garage kept one or two owners, reasonable mileage, no accidents, history. I even lkie that one of them is a standard. They all have the Sport package and weather package.
But best of all the all have value. Great cars for a great price.

'99 BMW 540iA Wagon

2000 540iA Wagon: VIN #WBADR6348YGN91297 pictures can be viewed at http://www.540it.blogspot.com/
I have owned this car for 4 years (2nd owner). It has been very well cared for and meticulously maintained (see list of maintenance below). The car is in wonderful condition and is in need of no repairs. This wagon is very practical while being VERY performance oriented at the same time. The car has the sports package and thus corners and handles very well while still maintaining a nice ride quality.
The 4.4 liter V8 has plenty of power with 290hp and 320ft./lbs of torque! With all that torque this baby has gobs of low end power and acceleration! It can pull up a mountain fully loaded with the air conditioner on and the engine will not even be laboring!
The car has dynamic stability control (DSC) and all season traction control (AST) to allow safe use of all that torque in bad weather. I have driven the car in 6 inches of unplowed snow and it does great.
The car is loaded with everything: sports suspension package with sports seats and steering wheel, premium sound system with 10 speakers and digital sound processing (DSP), heated seats, navigation system, 6 disc CD changer, split fold down rear seats, leather interior, steptronic (manual shifting available) automatic transmission, 17" alloy sport wheels, Xenon headlights, front & side and head airbags, all season traction and dynamic stability control, 4 wheel ventilated anti-lock brakes, self leveling rear suspension, remote keyless entry with security system, power seat adjustments with 3 memory settings, power windows, rain sensor wipers, adjustable steering wheel with hand controls for cruise, stereo volume and telephone , sunroof, tailgate with opening rear window, parking distance sensors. And these items work!
This car originally sold for $63.2k but it can be yours for only $16,900! Current mileage is 105K Maintenance: -full synthetic oil and filter change every 5k miles -air conditioner filters replaced -replaced AC aux. fan and AC system recharged -replacement of final stage resistor in climate control system -O2 sensors replaced -rear wheel spd. sensors replaced -new battery -new brake pads and resurfaced rotors -new mass air flow (MAF) sensor -all wheel alignment -new spark plugs -new air filter -transmission fluid replaced -new radiator, and coolant reservoir tank -new cam shaft position sensor -instrument cluster replacement -brake fluid replacement -differential fluid replacement

Here is the site for the recall letter.
http://www.riv.ca/english/html/recall_clearance.html

Here'a a quote:

The letter must come from the OEM's head office and be written on official
company letterhead, duly signed with the name and position of the official at

not be accepted.

In some cases, we will also accept a printout from an authorized American

ensure that they are an authorized dealer and not a re-seller. You can confirm
this by calling the head office of the manufacturer and providing them with the
location of the dealership in questionIf the printout is from an authorized
American dealership, the company stamp must be affixed to the printout. In
either case, the 17 digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the vehicle in

BMW 528I 81 5 spd White Beige Leather

This is still for sale. I read about this car in Bimmer Nov.07 issue on '75 - '95 E series. It has been a while since the magazine has come out so I'm sure this car has been for sale for a while. I guess there is little demand for E12's. But it does sound like a great car.

form 2 info

Went over to MTO, a long wait about 30 minutes. Paid PST and got licensed. The counter clerk was asking me about safety, I told her it's brand new and don't need safety. She verified with others and got everything ready for me in 10 minutes. The reason I think is that they are dealing with used vehicle transactions all the time and don't usually deal with new vehicles, new vehicle registration is done by dealer counter, so the dealer counter clerks are familiar with new vehicle registration requirement. If you stuck, just ask them to confirm with dealer counter clerk. I was skeptical on the clearance letter at first, it was printed from Hyundai website called "Warranty Vehicle Information" and said "no outstanding campaigns". But RIV approved it no problem. The whole process is so easy, not much different than buying local. You only need to find out a US dealer willing to work with you.I figure I saved around 12K compared to buying in Canada. Thanks OP, thanks everyone contributed in this forum and everyone who sent me leads. THANKS!!!!
